The Municipality being an agricultural land is rich and suited for the raising of high value crops aside from rice and corn.

These are the means of livelihood of the farmers in the inland barangays.

The inhabitants also in the coastal barangays engaged in fishing as their means of livelihood.

While in the Poblacion area, the big businesses are engaged in retail and wholesale activities as well as the buy and sell business scheme.

The amenities are also found in Poblacion, such as level III water system or the household to household water connections, electricity, concrete roads and others.

The Municipality in 2001 has an income of almost P15M coming from all sources.
